The highest score went to São Sebastião da Grama
The results of the 15th edition of the São Paulo State Coffee Quality Contest, which is being held at the Santos Commercial Association (ACS) were released this Tuesday (1).
The highest score went to São Sebastião da Grama. Clayton Mapelli Cerri, from the Vale da Grama Coffee Growers Association, Sítio Anhumas, scored 9.08 points in the “Microlots” preparation category and was at the top of the list. In the “Pelled and Pulped Cherry” preparation category, Homero Teixeira de Macedo Jr, from the Vale da Grama Coffee Growers Association, Fazenda Recreio, also from São Sebastião da Grama, came in first and took 8.97 points (second place). from the general listing).
With the same score, Adonis Cerri, from the Association of Coffee Growers of Vale da Grama, Fazenda da Mata, São Sebastião da Grama, won in the “Natural” category (and tied in the overall list with winner in the Cherry category).
For the president of ACS, Roberto Clemente Santini, holding the 15th Coffee Quality Contest in the State of São Paulo at the Santos Commercial Association confirms the institution's tradition and credibility.
“Coffee is part of the history of ACS. Each year, whether in production, export or in competitions of this level, Brazil confirms its world leadership in the sector. Congratulations to the participants. In practice, everyone is a winner.”
The contest evaluations and tests were carried out by the judges last Thursday (27) in the ACS Coffee Classification and Tasting room throughout the day. This year, from the total of 60 entries, 33 competed in the “Natural” preparation category, 17 in “Cereja Descascado e Despolpado” and 10 in “Microlotes”.
